The Bristol Porridge Project has opened its doors this week offering Bristolians a range of awesome porridge served with sensational coffee.
You’ll find this small and cute place situated just behind Colston Hall on Lodge street.

Inside you’ll find the cheerful owner Adam who has set this place up very much as a place to go for porridge rather than a traditional cafe.

That’s not to say they’ve snipped on the coffee however, with careful selection taking place from the ‘Welsh Coffee’ company. Take it from me, as a bit of a coffee snob the Americano I took away was absolutely top notch.
Porridge is cooked in a bain marie (basically a water bath), whilst freshly rolled oats are used for every batch from this machine.

There are a selection of cakes available (all freshly made in store). Whilst the porridge itself is made with water and available with the following toppings:
Almonds, cashews, crunch oats and maple syrups
Dark chocolate, banana, maple syrup
Cherry compote, roasted coconut flakes, white chocolate
Apple sauce, walnuts & cinnamon
Honey nut granola, banana, maple syrup
Caramel, grapes, apple, almond
Dates, cacao nibs, cranberries, hazenults, cinnamon, fresh apple
The Bristol Porridge Project are also not against bespoke requests.
All and all this is a great addition to Bristol and the next time you’re after a quick Bristol breakfast fix on the way to work this should be at the top of your list.
