The 30 year old Bristolian looking to find love

Shahan Miah is a 30-year old man from Bristol, currently living in Fishponds however he grew up in Long Ashton, having previously lived in Horfield, Bedminster & Bradley Stoke.

Shahan is like many, in that he has struggled to find love. He’s tried dating apps, speed dating, blind dates, but sadly yet to no avail.

In a bold but amazing move, over the summer, Shahan launched his own website & campaign #DateShahan (, in the hopes of finding romance in (or near) the city of Bristol.

It is his own online dating profile complete with photographs, attributes and an amazing dating video, which has been shared by various celebrities, including Katherine Ryan, Tez Ilyas, and Bristol’s own Josie Gibson from Big Brother.

Amazingly, a man in the USA has made similar headlines for creating his own dating app for himself, however this was done months after Shahan’s project.

After not being able to give enough focus to finding love due to sorting out my career & health, I now feel I am in a position to finally find love and to look for it.

Plus, as much as I enjoyed my 20s & being single, I do feel that I want to date & for it to lead to something serious.

Other methods I’ve used including apps, singles events, and even trying to get those I know to introduce me seemed to be unsuccessful.

I loved the fact that how someone like Adam Pacitti could make his own website to help him stand out and for it to go viral, and was hoping for similar success.

I’ve gone viral in certain places over the world however I still want to find love in or near Bristol!”

Shahan’s interests include: watching movies & going to the cinema, attending local football & rugby games, TV, occasionally gaming and going to live music.

Speaking of music, I started getting into rock music at school, especially metal and indie/alternative rock, but have discovered other genres since then.

I have so many band t-shirts that once I wear one I probably won’t wear it again for about a month. My music collection & streaming playlist both contain the odd guilty pleasure, though.

“I’d like to think I have a good, sociable personality. I’ve been told by people that I can be quirky (in a good way), that I can make them laugh, even been described by one friend as a true gentleman, and still like to show my creative side every now and then…

I want to be “The Man” for a lucky lady out there!”
