The Bank Tavern smashes it again

One of Bristol’s best boozers, The Bank Tavern has won the best roast in the UK at the annual Observer food awards.

Hosted by Jay Rayner and Nigella Lawson, The Bank came out top in a tough category and we couldn’t agree more!

Those lucky enough to have tried it would most likely testify to the Bank Tavern being one of the best roasts in Bristol.

Those that haven’t tried it will need to keep a close eye on their twitter for walk-ins as The Bank is currently booked up until December 2020.

It’s probably a good idea to get a booking placed before it becomes 2022..

The charming Sam Gregory has been at the helm for over a decade and has created a fantastically successful place with locally sourced food, cooked by head chef, Nick Hutchings who is passionate about nose to tail cooking.

When you find lead shots in your wood pigeon, it’s a telltale sign that the food is fresh and local.

The Bank regularly do six-course tasting menus throughout the year. Keep an eye out for their Burns Night’s feast if you aren’t participating in Dry January.

The Bank is famed as much for its incredible atmosphere at events, rugby matches as it is for its roasts so don’t wait until 2021 to get down.

It’s the weekend, stop in, have a pint and celebrate the success of this awesome Bristol place.
