Woky Ko at Wapping Wharf

With fresh produce, innovative delivery and locally sourced ingredients dominating menus across the city, there can be little doubt it’s a fine time to be a foodie in Bristol. Each month, new restaurants swing open their doors — from fish’n’chips with a twist to high-end gourmet cuisine — and we’re pretty much spoiled for choice.

One new arrival to the Bristol food scene worthy of particular note is Woky Ko — an Asian restaurant taking pride of place by the harbourside in Cargo, on Wapping Wharf. Run by 2013 MasterChef finalist Larkin Cen, Woky Ko takes a refreshing new approach to traditional Asian cuisine. Here, delicacy is everything.

The menu offers treats such as sushi-grade seabass tartare, edamame spring rolls with sweet chilli dip, triple-cooked crispy beef with Padrón peppers, and salted caramel ice-cream — all prepared by the talented chefs before your very eyes.

Since opening in late October, Woky Ko has established itself in the heart of Wapping Wharf. Serving up fresh food prepared with care, the restaurant offers a casual and comfortable atmosphere perfect for a lunchtime pit-stop or evening dinner date. The only challenge is choosing where to start.
