Dying To Be Dancing 2nd – 4th December

December is almost upon us and that means that age-old struggle: blow your wages on the party season or gifts for your loved ones. If you’re opting for the former (or you have enough cash to splash to do both) then read on for this weekend’s dancefloor delights.

FRIDAY

HomoElectric

Mancunian party starters Homoelectric travel down for this one-off at The Love Inn. Resident DJs Jamie Bull and Will Tramp trek south to bring you a slice of their anything-goes-disco, playing house, techno, garage, rock ‘n’ roll trash, outsider pop, dirt, and glamour with no pomp or pretension.

22:00 – 04:00 | The Love Inn | Free before 11 / £3-4 after

I Love Acid Tour presented by Parallel Dimensions

Parallel Dimensions are calling all lovers of acid to Thekla this Friday with a pretty stacked line-up featuring DMX Krew, Posthuman (and London based singer Josh Caffe), Placid, Sofaboy and a whole room hosted by local label Semi Peppered. Make sure you check your watch at 3:03 to remind yourself you still have 57 minutes of raving left.

22:00 – 04:00 | Thekla | £8 tickets available

SATURDAY

Don’t Tell Your Mother

What with it being World Aids Day on the 1st December, the lovely folk at queer social Don’t Tell Your Mother are fundraising for not one but TWO local charities that are deserving of your door fee. Both Brigstowe and Terrence Higgins Trust Bristol will benefit from 100% of tonight’s profits and that money goes to helping local people living with or affected by HIV.

21:00 – 02:00 | The Phoenix | £5 otd

Knee Deep in Elrow: Psychedelic Trip

If you were lucky enough to scoop up a ticket to Saturday’s Elrow extravaganza before they sold out then well done! Resale tickets on the event are going like hotcakes so if you decide to get psychedelic with the Knee Deep In Sound crew then get cracking. Plus Room 2 is hosted by local lovelies Bitch Please who’ve invited the babealicious duo Maze & Masters to play alongside them.

16:00 – 04:00 | Motion | Sold out check event for tickets
