We love Gloucester Road

Our friends at @igersbristol on Instagram have been celebrating Gloucester Road over the last month using #igerslovegloucesteroad. Here are some of our favourites so far that show why Gloucester Road is the best road.

I'm very lucky to work on Gloucester Road and enjoy the amazing bars, cafes, shops and street art. For anyone out taking photos this week, here are my recommendations:- Pizza Planet- great pizza and good value, they also do a scrummy halloumi salad. Cafe Ronak:- great place to have a coffee and watch the world go by. Backers and Co:- mashed avocado on sourdough is a dream. The Blue Lagoon:- perfect for a beer and live music. Flo-Jo Boutique:- unfortunately I don't sew but i often go into this shop and look at all the lovely fabric's and get inspired to learn. Room 212:- cute little shop selling homemade arts and crafts. Pink Lemons: great place to find something new to wear. Iota:- I always go here for gifts, lots of beautiful and funny products. The Gloucester Road Ale House and Kitchen:- recently refurbished, a cute pub with a great range of beers, also dog friendly. Happy instergraming 😊 #igerslovegloucesterroad #igersbristol #bestofbristol #ilovebristol #livebristol #bristol247 #shoplocal #visitbristol #swisbest

This is a fabulous street with many interesting and quirky shops. One I like is this small art-gallery which showcases and sells works by local artists (who also help run the place). Above the shop, there is this life-size graffiti stencil of Cary Grant by Bristol Street artist Stewy. The famous actor was born and lived his childhood in this area before finding fame and fortune in the United States. Here he is sitting cross-legged and waving to the passers-by. . . . . . #igerslovegloucesterroad #gloucesterroad #lovegloucesterroad #room212gallery #supportindependent #shopfront #igersbristol #bitsofbristol #bristoluk #ukpics #bristollifeinpictures #ilovebristol #bristol247 #bristollife #bristol_lens #seemybristol #bristolprospectus #discoveringbristol #visitbristol #bestofbristol #bristolcolouruk #bristollandmarks #omgb #streetphotography #raw_street #raw_mobile #raw_community #raw_dnw_streetart

Don’t forget that tonight is the start of Window Wanderland 2017, with windows in Bishopston, Ashley Down, St. Andrews, Montpellier and of course, Gloucester Road involved. ✨ • “Imagine your neighbourhood’s ordinary windows transformed into something you’ve never seen before, a magical mystery tour where your streets become an outdoor gallery. Take a wander amongst these displays, see your community in a new light as all generations come together in a fun, creative way.” – If you would like to know more, you can pick up a map in Totally Toys, Room 212, Cafe Grounded or Boston Tea Party. If you can’t get to those places, there is an interactive map on! • Be sure you tag your photos with #igersBristol and use our #igersloveGloucesterRoad hashtag where appropriate! 🙌🏼 • Hope you all have a great evening exploring, I’ll be back in a few hours with this evening’s feature! 🤓 ———————————————– Photo credit to @aliceeccles, thanks for tagging us! 🙏 ———————————————– Shared by @antimitch! 🤙🏼

20. Never ending independent shops

View this post on Instagram

The longest independent high street in the UK (nearly two miles!). I love this busy, lively, cosmopolitan, wiggly road, an endless stretch of great shops, charity shops, cafés, bars, organic food shops, sweet and toy shops… and everything else in between. In my opinion, the sweet shop on the right is the best in town! 🍬🍬🍬 😉😍 . . . . . #igerslovegloucesterroad #lovegloucesterroad #bitsofbristol #bristoluk #ukpics #livebristol #bristollifeinpictures #ilovebristol #bristol247 #bristollife #igersbristol #bristol_lens #inspiredbybristol #seemybristol #bristolprospectus #discoveringbristol #visitbristol #bestofbristol #bristolcolouruk #bristollandmarks #supportindependent #ig_architecture #amateurphotographers
