    Not content with just putting on a weekend of amazing and diverse music, the folks at Simple Things have also put together four mega interesting (and totally free) panels including one on Bristol’s burgeoning DIY scene and one on radical dance floors.

    The Simple Things Festival

    The Saturday festival programme promises acts ranging from welsh popstrel Charlotte Church, techno DJ Nina Kraviz, Beats In Space maestro Tim Sweeney and the absolutely unmissable NYC resident Mike Servito. This event is sold out, but check the event for resale tickets.

    Simple Things 2016 Finale: John Carpenter Live

    Closing out the festival on the Sunday is iconic composer and director John Carpenter at Colston Hall for one of the most anticipated concerts of the year. Horror aficionados have been raving about his creepy and atmospheric scores for seminal films like Halloween and Escape From New York. He’ll be playing a retrospective of his film work alongside newer stuff with a live band.
