Mett the Bristol organisations doing a 24 hour bad movie marathon

Raising money for ‘Children in Need’ normally involves something relatively simple like dressing up unusually at work or sitting through an episode of Mrs. Brown Boys (maybe not so easy). But the Bristol Bad Film Club, Seventyseven, Hellfire Video Club and Cube Microplex, are taking it to another level of physical and mental pain with something no one should have to sit through….

A 24 hour bad movie marathon.

The rules are simple:

1. No sleeping
2. Toilet breaks must not last longer than 10 mins
3. Breaking of rules will result in monetary fines (which will go to Children In Need)

The current schedule reads like the worst night in with the unusual stoner friend you know with titles such as:

American Cyborg: Steel Warrior

Parole Violators

Who Killed Captain Alex?

On the day itself, they will be live-blogging and tweeting (possibly even streaming) their progress – it’ll probably get incoherent and non-nonsensical after the first 12 hours.

If you want to help these crazy film buffs, members of the public are welcome to either join in, either by watching the films at home or dropping in and keeping them company for a few hours! All they ask is you throw some money in the charity bucket!
