Wriggle Relaunch With New Pick-Up And Delivery Options

Wriggle are back!

Food pick-up and delivery from some of Bristol’s best independents is now available through the Wriggle app.

Wriggle are waiving fees until August to help the city’s restaurants and producers get back to business.

Wriggle is doing pick-up and delivery a little bit differently than other food apps. Within the Wriggle app or website, restaurants are able to list meals and other goods to be collected on a set day, or within a set window, and businesses have the flexibility to choose these dates and times.

A customer could browse the app on a Wednesday to look for a special steak from Mugshot for example to have a special treat on the Friday.

Customers pay through the app and then the restaurant will have the food ready (for collection or via delivery) on the day or time that was clearly marked.

Businesses can then manage their own delivery rounds rather than taking individual trips or relying on seperate delivery drivers.

This method reduces costs and complexity for Wriggle partners, so they don’t face huge fees that would prevent them from reopening at all.

Spring Slice sourdough pizzas are also making their debut on the Wriggle app, providing epic sourdough base pizzas with a San Marzano passata base, mozzarella cheeses, basil and host of toppings. There’s vegan and veggie options available, too.

Other businesses that will be listed within the app and on the website include Muino with 5x tapas dishes and wine from £37.50, delivered homemade dishes from Spoke and Stringer, crates of fine wine from Averys Cellars, fresh pasta and sauces from Little Hollows Pasta, and loads of other great independent businesses with more partners are being signed up each day.

Rob Hall, Wriggle CEO commented,

“We’re very excited to have signed up some amazing delivery and pick up offers for our relaunch. We noticed that a huge amount of businesses are looking for ways to connect with Bristol foodies and reorganise themselves with pick up and delivery.

It’s very hard to do that via ad hoc email and phone orders. We’ve added functionality to the app so that businesses can take advantage of things like contactless payment and set-times while avoiding the huge fees of other app providers.”

Restaurants listing products and offers will have all Wriggle fees waived until the end of July.

The Wriggle app can be downloaded from the App Store as well as Google Play, with offers also available on the desktop site getawriggleon.com
