Pizzarova’s Big Flavours and Tasty Toppings on Gloucester Road and Wapping Wharf

Pizzarova is mighty tasty

If you’ve taken a stroll along the harbourside recently, beneath the towering cargo cranes to the corner of M Shed, you may have seen a strange new crate plonked on the pavement.

Well, next time you’re there — and hunger strikes — bowl on over and take a closer look… It’s a new pop-up pizza joint called Pizzarova and their food is top-notch.

Already well established on the Gloucester Road, Pizzarova have started branching out to festivals and food markets, and have recently turned their attentions to hungry pizza lovers south of the city.

They make pizza the old-fashioned way, using a sourdough that’s been fed for nearly 70 years to create a light and airy dough packed full of flavour. Roughly chopped ingredients of your choice are piled on top and the results are lip-smacking.

If time is of the essence, £6 will get you ‘The Lady’ — a traditional Margerita. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, right?

But if you’re keen to experiment a little further with the diverse ingredients on offer, you can chuck on your own choice of toppings for £9 or Pizzarova’s rotating specialities for £10. Kids’ sized pizzas are available for £4, and you can add in a round of garlic bread for £4 too.

Once your pizza is done it emerges fresh from the wood-fired oven, before a little olive oil and rocket finish the job. The rest is up to you…
