Gloucester Road has it fair share of awesome bars but a new place has opened that’s completely different to anything in the area.
Replay can be found just by the arches on Cheltenham Road and it’s being pitched as ‘your gaming destination’.
Opened by the extremely friendly friends Máté and Melinda, the interior is much improved from the previous occupants 196 Lounge, with a wooden setting offering a fantastic place to kick back with a board game and or a coffee/beer.
Replay isn’t styling itself as a board game cafe in the vein of Chance & Counters but instead a bar which offers easy and fun games that anyone can enjoy.
As well as the usual cafe suspects – coffee and tea, you’ll also find a decent variety of alcohol on offer as well as chips and nachos.
Downstairs there are a host of sofas and soft chairs to chill out in but perhaps the best thing is the free to play table tennis table. There are some great places to play table tennis in Bristol but this area has been sorely one for a while.
All in all if you like board games, table tennis, coffee and or booze this place is well worth checking out.
