A weather balloon launched from Yate Common after a 10 year arts project called ‘A Decade with Mars’, has arrived back from space. Amazingly, a camera on the balloon has captured not just Bristol from the air, but Bristol from space.
The balloon eventually came down in Miskin (near Cardiff) being found by the incredibly Welsh sounding Ffion Payne and Mia Williams. We can thank the artists responsible for this project – Ella Good & Nicki Kent for putting Yate back on the map where it rightly belongs.
