It features cheese and ham rolls, cheap pints of black rat and is just a good fun little pub.
The Karaoke nights take place on a Thursday and a Sunday and without fail are always busy. You’ve not experienced a proper Bristol night until you’ve seen the Cat and Wheel go off to an off-key rendition of ‘I want it that way’.

Where: The Bank Tavern, 8 John Street, Bristol, BS1 2HR
When: Thursdays, 8pm
8. Black Cat
What: This Bedminster pub is dirt cheap (£2 for a pint between 12pm to 7pm) and a karaoke night that takes place every Tuesday. If these reviews are anythign to go by on FB it’s absolutely worth a shout:
Kelly – ‘Friendly bartenders. Cheap drinks. Good karaoke nice people . Good atmosphere’
Korrie – ‘Amazing karaoke! & atmosphere ’
Sarah – ‘Unfortunately this pub does nothing to respect its neighbours. Music and karaoke is so loud and the doors are always open with people drinking on the street despite signs in the pub saying it’s not allowed’
That last one may have been a bad review but personally, that makes it all the more appealing.
Where: The Black Cat, 26 West Street, Bristol, BS3 3LH
9. Stag and Hounds
