8 of the best Bristol instagrams from July
Selected by the Jess and Jon of the marvellous Bristol Igers account.
1. Bristol Balloon Flight by @justagirl_75
Monique moved here from Canada earlier this year and her love for Bristol is infectious. Last month she did something which most born & bred Bristolians (including myself) have never done by taking a hot air balloon flight across the city. She took lots of fantastic photos but this is my favourite, just because my eye’s immediately drawn to The Matthew floating serenely along on the harbour.
2. Summer Evening Run by @leshopuk
Beautiful shot by Nina during an evening run along the Leigh Woods cycle path. The setting sun makes the light dappled & gorgeous but what makes it for me is the high tide.
3. Pero’s Bridge by @square_eyes_photos
I love it when we get a new angle on a much-photographed landmark and that’s exactly what @square_eyes_photos did here with the Pero’s Bridge ‘horns’. Looks almost like a painting.
4. Pyronaut by @mabismab
Emma took this photo during the harbour festival and I’ve chosen it not just because it’s a great photo but also come on, who doesn’t love to see the Pyronaut in action?!
5. Suspension Bridge by @RachelFoxwell
This dreamy summer scene featuring the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge was taken by @rachelfoxwell. The tranquil feel and minimalistic content makes this such a special picture.
6. Marina Bike by @Ellabonbella_x
The talented @Ellabonbella_x produced this beautifully composed image of the picturesque Hotwells/Cliftonwood. Ella is known for producing vibrant pictures of the city and this is right up there amongst her best shots.
7. Harbourfest Fireworks by @damelisajane
The Harbourside Festival once again proved to be a hit with the IGersBristol community with many fine shots tagged over the weekend. This stunning picture taken by @damelisajane features the Saturday night fireworks which lit up the floating harbour.
8. Triangle Sunset by @Sauntimo
Tim caught this superb shot of a colourful sunset on the Clifton Triangle. The glaring sunshine beaming over one of the city’s hot spots creates a wow factor which sets this picture apart.
Bristol Igers are also offering a chance to win a trip to one of six bmi regional destinations from Bristol. You can find out more about this amazing competition here.
